Jaime is a committed composer, taking sounds from day to day life and recontextualizing them in electronic tape alongside his clarinet. In this, he aims to bring fantasy to the ordinary, and create relatable musical discourses that bring modern music to an accessible yet sophisticated, “cool” language, in which clarinet and computer interact with each other.

Aside from this he is pushing to make the Eb clarinet, one of his passions, a more performed clarinet family member, by creating new transcriptions and original music for the instrument.

He has been awarded prizes in different national and international competitions, such as  1st prize in the 1st “Honorable Villa de Picanya” international clarinet competition, in Valencia, Spain. (2022),  1st prize in the “Cidade de Ourense” international clarinet competition, 1st prize in the “Ciudad de Ávila” chamber music competition (Together with Lazarus (Mendel-Sons) trio).

This has allowed him to appear as a soloist with multiple formations.
